  • The application of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) for lighting is about to enter the mass market of general lighting over the next five years.
    The cost-effective mass production of OLED modules currently represents the major gap in the value chain.

  • The aim of the research work is to develop concepts for the production of medium and large series of OLED modules.
    On the basis of a modular variant system, optimal automation solutions can be quickly derived for the respective number of requests and the resulting degree of automation.

  • This enables a drastic price reduction in the backend area compared to the previous manual production and a short-term opening up of the market.
